The Farmington River Watershed Association is hosting a silent auction and gala on Friday, April 16, the evening before fishing season opens. Â Life-size wooden New England Folk art fish will be individually decorated and auctioned off as part of a new outreach program.Â

Folk Art Fish - Poppies
The folk art fish are on display in the new Pia Sjölin Design Gallery at the Shoppes at Farmington Valley in Canton – just 25 minutes from the Dutch Iris Inn.  Bidders can hook one of their own during the silent auction, which runs from April 1-16, culminating with the gala on the evening of April 16, 6-9pm. For more information about the event, please call 860.658.4442 or visit http://www.FRWA.org. New England art and a fundraiser for our “wild and scenic” Farmington River - a great combination!

The Dutch Iris Inn is closed.
Necker’s Toyland in Simsbury CT – hands down, the best little toy store around!
Our Favorite Loaf of Bread…for now, that is!
